We are in a remote location and have chosen the highest quality glamping experience so you feel ensconced in nature. The rooms are all on raised decks, with chairs for you to look out on the red rock escarpment right on the doorstep. The canvas tent zips up and opens out so you can look at the stars at night. There is a fully tiled and luxurious private en suite bathroom in every room, with a hot shower. The rooms are twin share, so you’re about to make a new best friend. There is a campfire and wood in front of each room for those chilly nights. We are all staying in close proximity. One of the highlights will be connecting with each other over a glass of red wine in the evening.

If you lived in Australia for most of your life, you may not yet have had an outback experience. Trust us, having that red dirt under your feet is something else. One of the most beautiful regions in Australia is the Flinders Ranges, where the dirt is red and the mountains are shades of pastel. You’ll access sacred caves and rock art with storytelling from our First Nations Guide. We’ll also be 4wd’ing through gullies and gorges that will take your breath away. On the topic of breath, it will also be taken away on our hike up one of Wilpena Pound’s most iconic mountains.

What if COVID affects the trip?

We are 100% flexible and we will be watching the border and health situation very closely. Rest assured that if COVID impacts the trip we will postpone to a later date, and if that isn’t feasible, we will offer refunds.

How do I get there?

It is a 5 hour drive from Adelaide. We recommend that you self-drive and we will connect you with other travellers so you can car-pool and get to know each other. A car will give you the freedom to explore the national park during free time, although we will have plenty of time out in the field too.

What should I bring?

Your favourite journal and pen, as well as your creative energy. Hiking boots and warm clothes and layers for cool nights and mornings will also be needed. If you love your photography, bring all your kit! You will be sent a detailed packing list once you sign up.

 Should I drive/Do I need a 4WD?

It will give you more access to explore if you have a car. We’re eco-conscious, so we’d love to car-pool: once booked, we’ll be in contact with you to see if we can help hook you up with a nearby traveller! The drive is also one of the most inspiring in Australia - from Adelaide you will drive through wine regions, pink salt lakes, barren Mars-like scenery and ruins of colonial homesteads. It’s an incredible drive. You don’t need a 4WD, as all the roads are sealed. Some of the lookouts are more accessible with a 4WD, however. The planned activities include transport whereas the sunrise and sunset sessions at local lookouts are self-drive.
